TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

Tab Trade — The Short Version

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

That last detail tells you something. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.

What you can trade: forex, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.

What You Trade On

Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both matters. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. Faster charting. Native automated trading. A lot of traders prefer it after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is apparently in the works. That would be a good addition when it lands.

Costs

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.

Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.

Safety

Here is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not make it safe. But inform your decision.

The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
